Job Purpose/Summary: 

 

The Social Media Director will be responsible for increasing brand awareness & exposure through social media platforms across the US. You will be responsible for creating & executing social media strategies across our various social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter/X, TikTok, and more.

We are looking for someone who is as creative as they are analytical, and someone who is plugged into the latest content trends and isn’t afraid to think outside of the box. More than just attracting potential new customers and engaging with our existing customers, the Social Media Director will analyze data to determine which initiatives work best and capitalize on this information to continue to help scale our business.

 

Reporting to the CMO, this role is highly collaborative. The Social Media Director will work with teams across the entire organization, including sales & marketing, to implement social media marketing strategies for growth and success. 

 

Main Responsibilities for Social Media Director:

 
  • Create, grow and manage all social media channels/pages including YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter and LinkedIn.

  • Create and implement social media strategies that align with company sales objectives.

  • Oversee day-to-day management of campaigns, including content creation.

  • Optimize all social media efforts for reach and engagement.

  • Ensure brand consistency across all social media channels and posts.

  • Supervise all aspects of social media interaction between customers or followers and the company, and ensure a positive customer experience.

  • Create actionable plans to both grow and maintain followers.

  • Monitor & report on all social media efforts and campaigns, and utilize analytics to determine areas for improvement and growth.

  • Monitor latest social media trends, stay aware of new social media platforms, and best content practices.

  • Report on key learnings and translate into actionable insights.

  • Collaborate with the Marketing Team on holistic 360° marketing campaigns.



 

Qualifications for Social Media Director:

 
  • Experience building, creating and executing social media strategies (including content creation) and managing social media pages.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, or equivalent work experience.

  • Expert knowledge in community building.

  • Experience leveraging AI in Social Media.

  • Strong communication skills.

  • Analytical with experience in competitive analysis.

  • Experience with Canva is considered an asset.

  • Experience with social media management tools, such as Sprout Social.

  • Basic knowledge of photo and video editing software.

  • Relevant experience determining a target audience and crafting unique marketing campaigns to capture their attention.

  • Ability to work collaboratively across an organization with employees at all levels.

  • Ability to perform under tight deadlines.

  • Highly organized with great attention to detail, able to manage multiple projects at once.

  • Prior knowledge of Marketing and eCommerce is a valuable asset.

  • Prior social media buying experience is a valuable asset.

Working Conditions: This role is fully remote, providing flexibility in work hours. However, it may require occasional travel for team meetings, product launches, and other relevant events.
