Community Manager - Location Based Music App - Remote
Be a part of the future for local music. We are seeking a Community Manager who loves pop culture and music apps, and who has strategic, creative, and organizational skills. This is a remote opportunity for maximum flexibility.
As the Community Manager, you will be responsible for helping to grow and manage the user community for our new location-based, local music streaming app, Mixlo (www.mixloapp.com). As the Community Manager you will utilize your strategic and creative skills to grow and maintain the Mixlo user community through various social media platforms, including creating and managing visual content. You will also take the lead on other methods of community growth, such as using direct email communications to build and maintain satisfactory relationships with targeted audiences.
Saylo Innovations, a local SLC startup, is preparing to release their MVP- minimum viable product, www.mixloapp.com. This is their first location-based music streaming app platform. Mixlo’s music charts are based on a local artist’s live music and location. The app helps local artists “be found” by connecting music communities socially, as well as financially by utilizing unique artist payment methods that reward local musicians by as much as 90x more payment than current popular streaming platforms.

Requirements and Responsibilities
Experience in marketing or content strategy and management for pop culture audiences, and other music audiences. Previous experience with paid ad management is a plus
Excellent communicative, creative, and organizational skills with a firm pulse on pop culture and social trends.
Create and manage a content marketing plan and calendar.
Manage, grow, and maintain social media accounts amongst various platforms.
Create engaging and shareable visual and written social content.
Respond to community inquiries about the Mixlo platform.
Build and manage relationships with key audiences through direct email messaging.
Monitor social media campaigns and analyze web traffic from the online community using key performance indicators (KPIs).
Work closely with the marketing team to coordinate community marketing efforts and focuses, including collaborating together for the organization of community events.
Must understand the Tok-tok platform.
Provide community feedback to management and work closely together to optimize strategies.
Ability to perform social audience research and monitor the progress of various social outreach strategies.
